Gratitude is the healthiest of all human emotions. The more you express gratitude for what you have, the more likely you will have even more to express gratitude for.” —Zig Ziglar
I am sitting by my waterfall listening to some piano music. It is worship music. I am not a religious person, but I believe the Creator wants me to thank Him/Her for all I have.
I look up at the sky. I see the seagulls soaring high above me. There are two that are flying in sync. They almost look like they are soaring together. As one turns so does the other. It’s quite beautiful to watch. Today is a good day. Canadians wait all year for warm weather. Today is warm and few clouds. Everyone just is so happy.
The trees all have some new growth on them. I really never watched the trees as a child or even when I was being “Mom”. But I do now. Nature means the world to me.
And it is free.
I’m not running around trying to busy my day. I’m taking some time today to just sit and look at what the Universe has provided me to look at. I have peace inside. I am so grateful for every living thing. (Even the flies.)
There is also a gentle wind blowing on my skin. It’s just one of those days I don’t want to end.
I’ve put my troubles and concerns aside. I’m not thinking of my past. I’m not thinking of my future. I am just being … grateful.
Is this what I keep reading about: self-care? Maybe.
